James Rizzis dream comes true!

In the middle of April the first shoes in James Rizzi Design worldwide appear in the brand FILA. The artist formed and wearied his own shoes during lifetime. James Rizzi  always dreamt of realising his own shoe collection with his figures and designs. His biggest dream become true and is one of the nicest legacy of the artist to us. During the last months before his death the artist worked intensely on these masterpieces.

In total 6 different designs have been realized. All of them are available e.G at Deichmann stores in Europe. Now the limited number of shoes are already expected by Rizzi followers and fans. Many costumers will buy them immediately in the next Deichmann Store on the day of the publication. The sneakers are available in low cut or mid cut in more than 1000 Deichmann Stores.

The artist Tim Davies presented on the annual fair for living and lifestyle Ambiente 2012 in Frankfurt new designs for the company Ritzenhoff.

Now the second edition in the Ritzenhoff collection has been released in the Tim Davies design. At the booth on the fair Ambiente 2012 the collection has been presented to the public. Beside glasses in various forms and sizes there are also porcelain cups and a porcelain teddies. New is a big bowl and a coffee cup with Davies muster. Art pieces of Tim Davies and request you will get by Art 28.

Am 15.03.2012 ist Künstler Herman zu Gast für die Ausstellungseröffnung im Nassau Beach Club.

Mit speziellen Mallorca Motiven wird Künstler Herman im berühmten Beach Club präsentiert. Bis zum 27.04.2012 können Sie die Bilder an einem der schönsten Locations der Balearen Insel bewundern. Mit der Galerie Minkner findet am 15.03. die Vernissage statt. Residenten und Urlaubsgäste sind herzlich eingeladen ab 18:30 Uhr zum Empfang.

A collection of sneakers by the famous artist James Rizzi will realised in spring 2012 with the brand FILA.

For all those who knew James Rizzi and were close to him, his death on the second Christmas Day in 2011 has been totally unexpected and a big shock. His life-affirming art gave so  many people pleasure and optimism. However, Rizzis dynamic creative potential continues, in his art work and in the hearts of the people.

Especially in Germany, Austria and Switzerland James Rizzi and his art work even yet has a huge fan community, many collectors admire Rizzis coloured New York impressions for over 20 years. Now a special Rizzi project will be also realised here, a “dream” preserved by James for many years: his own shoe collection. The series of sneaker designed by himself will be available from April, 2012 with the brand FILA. Rizzi had released enthusiastically the final designs still in December 2011 to the production, brought “his” sneakers so on the way.

It’s with great distress and sorrow that we have to announce the death of James Rizzi. The world famous pop artist died peacefully in his sleep in his studio in SoHo, New York, the night after Christmas. His sudden and unexpected death comes as a shock to family, friends, and collectors alike.

James Rizzi became famous for the 3D paper sculptures he invented, the playful and childlike forms and bright colors of which were to become his artistic trademark. Thus he acquired a large international following across all age groups and classes. Another claim to fame came through the application of his distinctive style to a large variety of everyday objects – from Rizzi stamps to the Rizzi house, from Rizzi puzzles to the Rizzi jet plane, from Rizzi chinaware to Rizzi cars and trains. Throughout his life, Rizzi contributed to a number of charities, the wellbeing of children being particularly close to his heart. This is one of the reasons why a public school in Duisburg, Germany, bears his name since this year.

James Rizzi died in the city he was born in, New York, which influenced his life as well as his work greatly. He was in the middle of preparing for new projects when death struck him.

In James Rizzi the art world loses one of the last great pop artists, and we lose a good friend and a wonderful human being.

Jimmy, you will be missed.

Colorful Sensuality is the title of the succesful exhibition of  Ekaterina Moré in Hamburg. The artist presented her actual art work on November 18th in the famous Galerie Udo Lindenberg & more in the Europapassage. The exhibition in the gallery will last until December 3rd.

The book “Frauen in der Kunst: Zeitgenössische Acrylmalerei”/”Women in Art: Contemporary acryl paintings” with paintings of Ekaterina Moré has been released.

Ekaterina Morés view on the history of art in combination with her artwork is worldwide new. How have women been presented and charakterized in the history of art is the first part of the book. In the second part Ekaterina Moré presents her actual art pieces with lots of wonderful pictures of women in their surroundings. Beside portaits she shows us women in groups and how they socialise with each other.  The modified image of women in comparence and in the same time harmony has been realized fascinating in this book.

With great success a big exhibition of Künstler Herman took place on the 21st of October in the MIVA Gallery in Malmö, Sweden. The Swedish are fascinated of the new Herman paintings. Especially the new active, coloured themes with nice crisp statements are intended for the young audience. Artist Herman with his newest works, graphics and printing is soon represented in other galleries in Germany and on his web page www.kuenstler-herman.de.

From now on you can order by Art 28 the fantastic metal sculptures of Patrick Preller. The so-called monsters from large to small are made of steel, aluminium or high-grade steel. Some of those monsters are treated or painted partially in bold colours. Preller is, so to say, the popart artist in the metal sculpture.
